Located on Main Street in downtown Whitewater, The Book Teller is an independent bookstore and art gallery. Come explore this historic city bank, enjoy a cozy environment and a good book, and find unique gifts handcrafted by local artists.

Pop in while you’re downtown to browse the selection, enjoy a complimentary cup of tea or hot chocolate, buy some books or gifts, or plunk down in one of our many comfy chairs and read. Come join your neighbors in a community-minded space and stay tuned for upcoming events, book clubs, and more!

The Book Teller’s Used Book Display

The Book Teller is not only a place to shop, but also a location where the community can gather. Our community-focused bookshop is a must-stop for walking tours downtown, and hosts a variety of events like art and craft workshops, culinary demos, author visits, storytime, and book club, of course!

DonatE/CREDIT PROGRAM

Book donations are exceptionally welcome, and greatly appreciated! Please bring your donation to the store during our open hours and we will add them to our inventory. We also have a credit program. Bring us your gently used or new books in the needed genres, and you’ll have a book credit with us, to be used for our books (used books only).
